Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains how Nexus Financial collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website, contact us, or become a client. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.
1. Who we are
Nexus Financial
20 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, Ireland
T: 01 254 2460

Nexus Financial is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, email us at the address above.
2. The data we collect
- Enquiries. When you email or phone us: your name, contact details, company, and anything you choose to tell us about your business.
- Client work. When you engage us: contact and identity details, engagement terms, billing details, and the business and financial information needed to deliver the work. Some of this may include personal data about your directors, shareholders or staff.
- Website visits. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of the visit. These are used for security and to keep the site running.
We do not ask for special category data (such as health information) and ask that you do not send it to us unless it is strictly necessary for an engagement.
3. How we use your data and our legal basis

| Client identity checks, record keeping and tax obligations | Legal obligation |
| Invoicing and managing our business | Performance of a contract and legitimate interests |
| Website security and server logs | Legitimate interests |
| Occasional updates or insights by email | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
4. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not set any cookies of its own. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google when the page loads. Google's own privacy policy applies to that connection.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where needed, with:
- IT, email and hosting providers that support our business;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and insurers;
- Revenue, the Companies Registration Office or other authorities where the law requires it;
- other parties you ask us to deal with on your behalf, such as banks, lenders or the other side in a transaction.
Each provider is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: up to 2 years from our last contact.
- Client files and financial records: 6 years after the engagement ends, or longer where the law or a live dispute requires it.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period in line with its own policy.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need it;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, email info@nexusfinancial.ie. We will respond within one month.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at www.dataprotection.ie.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encrypted connections and secure storage, and we review them regularly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
